“I am a youth defender”

Vlaamse Ouderenraad collected stories from older persons. They asked them how they feel about ageing and how they would like to be perceived and empowered to participate equally in society.

“I am a youth defender. I can really listen for hours to my 4 grandchildren and their friends. We talk about problems at school, darlings, friends… I hope they can grow old in the same way as I do.”
